I’m not in a mood to tick anyone off today, so I won’t say exactly what’s in iPhone 2.0 beta. What was announced is there… mostly, and not much else.
I will say that the firmware is loaded with debugging code, and is not at the same performance level as 1.1.4. So, should you still go for it?
I would say that if you are into diving head first into Cocoa Touch, if you want to try out other folk’s projects, or run code samples all day long… go ahead. But, if you’re enjoying jailbreaking, Installer.app, or if you just like a stable iPhone, then I encourage you hold off on the red pill, for now.
5A22C is an interesting build. I’d say that if it was a release build, it’s still much more stable than Windows Mobile… but not as stable as the standard iPhone set.
