Gotta point the finger of blame at The Unofficial Apple Weblog from dropping this link on my desk.
Basically, there’s a grass roots effort to erase all applause from the final Apple-hosted Macworld Expo keynote, in protest of the lineup changes, and the outright abandonment of the show from Apple.
Sound off in the comments. Are you staying silent at the show?
There are definitely times I wish I lived in CA. Living close to NYC is great and all, but I have no idea how to find out about tech events that I would be interested in going to, much less how to get in for free.
Chris, maybe you should do an article on that?
Well, I do have a running promo code thread for free passes. Probably should remind people of that…
As to travel… some people have actually suggested we add a travel section to CheapenGadget.com. Though, I have no idea how that would work.
Really, there are only a few trade shows that are industry-welcoming of consumers. There’s Macworld Expo, CES, E for All, and CTIA. Not many more after that…
Some will ask “What about E3” as there were rumors that E3 was going to start welcoming consumers again (similar to Tokyo’s TGS). Those plans were scrapped, it remains a dreary business conference.
