Yes, there are now plenty of iPhone modifications that will make blogs iPhone friendly. I’m choosing to buck the trend… I’ve decided to pass on the iPhone enhancements here.
Why? Because I think that iPhone is powerful enough to handle the full ChristopherPrice.net experience… mobile versions of web sites are a step down in quality, and iPhone doesn’t need it, especially for a blog. So, hope you enjoy the full look and feel, I think it looks great on iPhone (but, feel free to call me out on that in the comments).
Now, this site does have a mobile version… for other, non-web-friendly PDAs (as in, all of them except for iPhone). PhoneNews.com‘s mobile version does pick up iPhone, and pushes it the mobile version. Why the disparity? Well, PhoneNews.com is a much more complex site, and it takes a lot longer to load on iPhone (especially over EDGE). Code-wise, the different platforms target the xHTML Mobile profile differently… PhoneNews.com’s picking up iPhone while ChristopherPrice.net skips over it.
