During the Macworld rush (note to self, post rest of Macworld coverage), I didn’t notice that Memtest86+ was updated.
Memtest86+ is the de-facto standard for memory testing. The utility runs just about every memory test under the sun, and auto-loops. With a robust range of specialized chipset support, I prefer it to Microsoft’s Windows Memory Diagnostic (which is powered by WinPE/WinRE).
Version 1.70 adds support for a plethora of new chipsets, as well as DMI polling testing.
