Tonight I updated my Xbox 360 with the latest backwards compatibility update. It didn’t add any games I’m still missing from my library (MGS 2: Substance, Gunvalkyrie, and DOA: XBV being the three major stragglers)… but it did update support for Breakdown, so I went ahead and updated.
However, things didn’t go smoothly. Upon finishing the update, Breakdown loaded, but then prompted to update again… in an infinite loop. Power cycling didn’t help matters.
The fix was simple though, I burned the update from Xbox.com and installed it. At first it didn’t like the Mac-burned disc… but after re-trying, it went through and updated. I had no issues after the update completed.
