I’ll take flack for this, but I don’t care. I’m endorsing Dr. Rand Paul for President.
We need a president that will end the war on drugs. I don’t like drugs. We need that money going to developing cures for addiction – not putting sick people in jail. We need Manhattan projects that put that money where it needs to go.
We need a president that will not sign a spending bill that puts us into death spirals of debt. Rand Paul has stood on the floor of the Senate for hours, trying to block bills that do that.
We need someone from the healthcare sector that can save the healthcare sector from the failure, that is the Affordable Care Act. Rand Paul can do that.
It is a scary place out there abroad. Rand Paul is a libertarian Republican. Libertarianism is not a death wish or a death pact. We need a defense policy that balances our role in the world – with the rest of the world’s role in policing the world. We haven’t done a good job of that lately. I am confident Rand Paul can walk that line.
I stand with Rand, and I hope more people do too. John McCain came from single-digits, to being in striking distance of the White House. I think Rand Paul can pull that off too.
